Friday 5th April saw the launch of our latest campaign to tackle loneliness in Maidstone; Supporting Friendships.
The West Kent Befriending Service is volunteer led and relies entirely on grants and donations to run. ‘Supporting Friendships’ aims to make the befriending service sustainable through a monthly donation program. By committing to giving a certain amount each month, you are ‘giving the gift of friendship’ to a lonely person in need. 92% of our members say the service has made a positive difference to their lives and so it is important for us to ensure the continued delivery of this free service.
The launch took place in the Town Hall and had a fantastic turn out. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and showed their support.
After our ambassadors had a chance to speak we unveiled our new video (below), which was kindly sponsored by Inspired Villages Group and produced by Play Mountain Social Media. It highlighted everything that the West Kent Befriending Service does and why it is so vital to many of it’s members.
Are you able to give the gift of friendship each month and support our service?
Follow the instructions below to set up your standing order. If you need some assistance just jot these details down and pop into the bank, they will be happy to help you. Thank you!
